Summary

The project addresses the SMEs need to obtain expert consultancy and added-value information during decision making processes for innovation.
SMEs are essential for the European economy and therefore European society. The competitiveness of SMEs is strongly linked to their management capabilities to define the right choices in terms of market and innovation, the project aims at developing a tool capable to support SMEs manager in the decision making process.
The overall objectives of DOMINOS are to develop a disruptive information system for SMEs’ business consulting using problem solving techniques, semantic technologies and social media. The solution will be offered on line with the Freemium approach, with the aim to become the leading web portal for business consulting in Europe.

Work performed

The activities performed included a technical assessment of the current prototype and the definition of the needed developments, a market and users’ needs analysis, the definition of the business model and the drafting of the business plan, the study of the IPR, and the strategy for implementation of the SME-I Phase 2.

Final results

The expected progress beyond the state of the art, in the case of realization of the Phase 2, will be related to the use of TRIZ-based solutions for management problems, as well as the use of linked data to semantically aggregate important information for market and technology innovation.
