Summary

VaporPV is an innovative patent pending technology that increases the productivity of the photovoltaic solar systems with cooling of the PV panels when reaching above 25°C.
The main problem and importance for society:
- One of the main barriers for achieving sustainable energy system is the electricity to be consumed at the time and on the place of its generation, avoiding significant losses in electricity transmission grid, and turning off production facilities at peak production time;
- The productivity of the PV modules is less than 16% daily, due to lack enough radiation and increased temperature of the module. If a module is a 200W it means it can produce this electricity when its temperature is below 25°C and the sun radiation is coming at 90 degrees;
Overall objectives:
- To develop the VaporPV innovation to a series of prefabricated kits with a universal shape, width, height applicable for all PV panels on the market;
- To achieve commercialization of the VaporPV in UK by 2019.

Work performed

So far we have implemented the following key activities:
We have adopted the following approach for market research and analysis – Global insight and Local knowledge. For the Local knowledge we have implemented a desk research, then followed by trade survey and completed with store checks. The data form the two streams was combined in an overall report that was followed by Data validation – an exhaustive audit performed by our staff, cross-referencing of the gathered data. The end result is a comprehensive market and technical analysis, where the data is substantiated and the market trends are explained. Parts of the report including data are used in the feasibility study report.

Final results

Progress beyond the state of the art due to technical research and analysis:
- VaporPV© kits can be installed on every existing and new ground-mounted or rooftop PV installations - it is designed for that;
- VaporPV© increase the annual electricity production of PV installations at the peak time of electricity production;
- VaporPV doesn’t cause aging of the panels.

Potential Growth:
Impact for our company – reaching 4% of UK market, for the first 2 years we can estimate a job creation of roughly 12 people.
Socioeconomic impact - It is the economic benefits of solar, which is much cheaper than retail electricity in most European markets already today and will continue to decrease in cost, that will be the key motivation for people to invest in on-site generation – an important driver for growth on the Continent
