Summary

What is the problem/issue being addressed?
NANOLIKE masters today a breakthrough technology that makes it the best producer of nanosensors. The innovation potential of the company as well as its scientific excellence have been recognized by many organisations and pilot customers.
NANOLIKE must now move on to the next phase in terms of industrial scale-up and commercial deployment.

Why is it important for society?
To exploit at best its innovation potential, it is very important for NANOLIKE to build the NANOMAN project, which was designed to enable the company to assess the potential of these markets and the best strategy to penetrate them.

What are the overall objectives?
 One of the main objectives objective is to have a better understanding of the business environment in order to improve NANOLIKE offer and building an adapted commercialization strategy.
 The second main objective concerns the industrial part. NANOLIKE wants to build a scale-up strategy and protect its innovations with a coherent IP strategy.

Work performed

The work performed from the beginning of the project to the end of the period allowed :

 to consolidate the knowledge of the competitive environment,
 to improve the initial business offer,
 to protect the business innovation project,
 to prepare the scaling-up phase by determining the best industrial practical strategy ,
 to update the commercialization strategy,
 to adapt the business plan.

The feasibility study conducted during 6 months, with the support of the European Commission through the SME Instrument Phase 1 enabled Nanolike to confirm the economic, commercial and technical viability of its nano strain gauges.
The results will directly impact the commercial operations and industrial activities of the company.

Final results

Progress beyond the state of the art:
Having worked on industrial strategy, NANOLIKE has already begun to improve these quality standards in order to produce sensors with even better performance.

Potential socio-economic impact expected:
NANOLIKE expects to hire 25 persons in France and Europe by 2022.

Societal implications of the project:
The objective of NANOLIKE is to interact and collaborate as much as possible with European industrial ecosystem in order to enable manufacturers to improve their performance with innovative and high-performance nano sensors.
