Reason for update: D4.6 and MS4 (connected with D4.6): The experience with the test rigs in the laboratory has led to the awareness that commissioning and even more operation of the test rigs is more work intensive than assumed at the beginning of the project. Trading the infrastructurial and project ressources against the scientific output, the priority is set to show the demonstration of the hybrid power plant and therefore the continuous operation is reduced to 100 hours.

Succesfully tested technoloy demonstrator of the biogas-fired hybrid power plant.

Reason for update: D4.5: From our experience on the test rigs we do expect the commissioning for the real coupling also to be time-consuming. Instead of focussing on the detailed characterization (which implies long idle time to heat up the system) we prefer to demonstrate the operation in general. Furthermore, an additional T4.4.05 (“Conceptual design of real coupled hybrid power plant based on insights gained from the test rig characterizations.”) has been found necessary to do before setting up the real coupled system, which requires additional ressources that will be missing at the experimental state at the end.

Optimised Electrical drive
