Summary

For a startup to enter a new market, the best advice is always to reach out to the right people - but how? It’s not easy making a new network!
Reaching out to their LinkedIn, going to coworking spaces, attending events and hoping for serendipity... Even if you get support from a local and some intros, you\'re limited to one network or event, you\'re one in thousands, you have a business to run and it becomes a chore with no clear road map or strategy that applies to you.
Lighthouse proposes a different way: Soft landing combined with acceleration for startup batches from specific sectors - who are ready to scale internationally (Round A+) 4 ecosystems, specific verticals.
Lighthouse offers Deep Dive Weeks in Berlin, Lisbon, Dublin and the Baltics - each dedicated to a sector: fintech, e-gov, blockchain, healthcare, traveltech, analytics, etc.

Startup Lighthouse is committed to developing cross border connections within and beyond Europe. The project lights the way for startups within Europe by organising 8 Deep Dive Weeks in 4 ecosystems, meeting over 1,600 different ecosystem players in specific themes and culminating with a Lighthouse Award each year. Startup Lighthouse is a Startup Europe initiative.

Qualified matchmaking with corporates and investors actively looking for tech or partners. It’s faster than an accelerator and with no bullshit classrooms. Scaling Managers are assigned to help identify and schedule key meetings, follow up and overall provide startups with a tailored experience.
Run by company builders, accelerators and investors. Successful participants will be considered for higher value activities: such as Europass (access to top conferences and invite-only opportunities), Scouting Missions to New York, Silicon Valley and Israel - as well as winning the Lighthouse Top 10 Awards in front of our most distinguished investors!

Beyond the Deep Dive Weeks

The best startups receive acceleration services, including invite-only pitching opportunities and tickets to major EU events; participation in missions beyond EU (Silicon Valley, New York & Israel).

Final results

Startup Lighthouse is connecting tech start-up hubs and their companies (startups, scaleups) to the larger European business ecosystem seeking maximum synergies in terms of number of concrete collaborations between relevant players within existing ecosystems and networks; Increased access to customers, new products or services on the market, increase in turnover, better access to qualified employees, access to the right combination of finance and prospects for scaling up across borders and new job opportunities; These are a few examples on what has been achieved so far.

Other than that, Startup Lighthouses aims to solve the problem of difficult access to ecosystems through networking and talent matchmaking; stimulate European investments in digital sectors through creating increased mutual understanding between investor communities and in particular tech startups and scaleups; demonstrate sustainability of proposed actions beyond the life of the project; where appropriate, seeking synergies with ESIF funds or ESIF supported actions to improve the synergies between H2020 and ESIF; break barriers between European countries and beyond; STARTUP LIGHTHOUSE fosters the success of scaleups, which intends to give a role model to budding small companies in Europe that it is possible to be a global player while based in the “old continent
