Summary

The object of Kollestee Medical\'s Ground-Breaking Innovation is to introduce a Fully Automated Robotic System (FUE-Robotic System) which has been specifically designed and developed in order to be used at all process steps of the Hair Transplantation Surgery Procedures by reducing Surgeon Errors; increasing Efficiency & Performance and decreasing the Hair Transplantation Procedure Time Period to 1-1,5 hours from 8 hours. The Hair Transplantation QUALITY STANDARDS will be taken under control.

In current situation, nearly all of the Hair Transplantation Procedures are performed by manually (by hand). Manual application takes too long time such as 8-10 hours.

In the market, there is no robotic application which is able to perform and complete ‘‘all process steps’’ of the Hair Transplantation Procedure without any process performed manually. This situation has become a status of a big gap against to the increasing Market Size, Patient Numbers and Quality Demands of Patients.

Work performed

By the Market Research Studies of FUE-Robotic System Project; Kollestee Medical gathered “Reliable Statistics” with regard to the Volume of Hair Restoration Procedures Performed, Patient Demographics, Surgical Techniques, Treatments Used, and other Practice Dynamics.

During Phase-1 period; the End-User (Surgeon) Surveys for the FUE-Robotic System was performed. Grey Areas of probable surgeon behaviours on FUE-Robotic System was found out. The imperfect fields and required Redesigns & Improvements of the FUE-Robotic System were detected for Phase-2 studies.

Kollestee Medical participated in ICT Proposers’ Day 2017 in Hungary, Budapest and built relationships with software suppliers for the required Software Development Works of the FUE-Robotic System Project.

Kollestee Medical participated in INFO DAY, Horizon 2020 - \'Health, Demographic Change and Well-Being\' in Brussels, Belgium. According to Horizon 2020 Programmes and Targets, SME Instrument Phase-2 is more suitable for the Development Works of the FUE-Robotic System Project.

Final results

- Density Less than Expected,
- Post-Operative Shock Loss,
- Pain After Strip Procedure,
