Map

 Project objective

New healthcare technologies, e.g. gene sequencing and modular scaling of storage & processing capacity (potential patent). Features: (1) Low power and low heat dissipation (2) Small volume & low weight (3) Product life-cycle 4x times longer (decades) (4) Data required for the lifetime of patients (and then more, as they might have importance for their descents) requires legacy systems. (5) Massive management & operations costs

Current alternatives are either too costly, or exhibit low reliability and/or performance, and none of them achieve the right level of security: (1) Data-storage rack systems require high-power for operation & cooling, large space & special flooring (heavy, cooling), high maintenance & operation costs, low HW lifecycle (3-5 years). (2) Cloud storage solutions do not comply with emerging data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR) and suffer from strong data transfer latencies.

BASEPORT genome sequencing and storage systems helps democratise the use of genetic analyses on healthcare, especially among small health-centres and clinics that cannot afford current expensive, power-hungry systems requiring specialised data-centres, while also providing a secure data vault to keep data safe and secure, helping them comply with most rigorous regulations (e.g. ISO27001, EU’s GDPR, NIST).

BASEPORT is a cost-effective, low-power, scalable, high-performance data storage and computing system designed for health & pharma institutions to securely and reliably manage data operations. It is designed in a unique form-factor to be a long-lasting system (decades long lifecycle). Our technology allows for a significant reduction in carbon footprint and decreases overall costs for data storage and management.

Are you the coordinator (or a participant) of this project? Plaese send me more information about the "BASEPORT" project.

For instance: the website url (it has not provided by EU-opendata yet), the logo, a more detailed description of the project (in plain text as a rtf file or a word file), some pictures (as picture files, not embedded into any word file), twitter account, linkedin page, etc.

Send me an  email (fabio@fabiodisconzi.com) and I put them in your project's page as son as possible.

Thanks. And then put a link of this page into your project's website.
