Summary

EU cities generate half a ton of waste year per capita per year, with over 15% thrown to the streets. This waste must be recollected and duly managed to avoid environmental harm, stinky smells, harming animals and plants, and risk for the health in general, even safety. To gather this generated waste, have been developed sweepers which are used in most of the modern cities. But many are still today fossil fuel-based and, working 8 hours a day, generate about 39,999 kg of CO2 per year, which is a problem for cities and all the environment.

To satisfy these needs we developed Glutton Zen, a compact all-electric sweeper vehicle that can traverse even the narrowest streets (1.2m wide). Besides, our zero-noise solution surpasses the performance of existing technologies via its regenerative engine, a 99.96% dust air-filter, a class-leading 10-hour autonomy, becoming the best available product for the driver. Also, it is 100% eco-friendly by including waste automatic separation, and a specialized weeds removal arm.

Work performed

Technical Plan: all the features are analyzed, based on our current technological platform initial Glutton Zen version, and to move to the new Glutton Zen final system. Technical risks have been considered. A technical plan for the EIC Pilot roadmap has been developed.
Freedom to Operate analyzed several patents, as well as the Data Regulation at the worldwide extent. Glutton disposes of diverse patents, and expect to get 2 new patents.
Commercial feasibility includes the analysis of the different countries. The progressive product launch has been designed, and routes for commercialization have been defined, based on expert analysis. Exploitation indicates
Financial feasibility and business plan include a sales forecast, EBITDA estimations, and market risk identification. With an initial estimation of 1.9M€ for EIC Pilot, the exploitation BP indicates an ROI of 5 in 5 years

Final results

The project has a significant impact on all cities around the world. The use of electric generates Zero CO2, it has a cost of 5€/day (vs. 98€ for diesel), the maintenance costs is divided by 5 compared to current sweeping systems. Also, increases the residual value, it is highly ergonomic (at the contrary of competitors) in terms of physical ergonomic, sound and light. In 12 months, the customer will recover the investment in 3 years, and maintenance cost is divided by 8 compared to traditional systems. Finally, the sweeped materials are separated, with 50% recycling potential.
