Summary

ECO-CARS® is a fuel optimizer able to achieve a more efficient combustion, applicable in internal combustion engines. It reduces fuel consumption and gas emission in any kind of vehicle by treating the fuel with a patented solution that inhibits the influence of external magnetic / radio-electric / electromagnetic fields. ECO-CARS® allows to:
• Reduce fuel consumption around 10%.
• Reduce emissions of pollutant gases around 50%.

The main conclusions of the action are:
• Feasibility assessment completed. The business opportunity has been confirmed.
• The company has decided to move forward and continue with the plan for ECO-CARS exploitation.

Work performed

From the beginning of the project, the progress we have worked on can be divided into:
• Market studies conducted in each one of the potential countries, prioritizing them according to:
- Target audience.
- Market needs.
- Willingness to pay for ECOCARS in target market.
- CBA analysis.
• Identification of potential clients that can be invited to the product demonstration in phase 2.
• Identification of certification and homologation needs to be met for the target markets.
• Identification of main trade fairs and events in the sector and other key actions building ECO-CARS communication strategy.
• Evaluation of competitors and substitutive technologies/solutions.
• Identification of potential distributors for large countries where ECOCARS will not be directly commercialised by ENCOL.

Final results

With the implementation of our technology in diesel and gasoline engines, it is estimated a direct impact on emissions of polluting gases. Specifically to this day, we have characterized a direct impact on CO2, NOx and CO of:
• CO2: Reduction of between 10% and 15%.
• NOx: Reduction of between 8% and 12%.
• CO: Reduction of between 14% and 18%.

Our estimation is that by 2024, 5 years after the launch of the product (estimated by Q1 of 2020) we will have installed +165.000 vehicles in the EU and +185.000 vehicles in USA, reducing CO2 emissions in almost 5 million Tons per year, generating +160M€ cumulated EBITDA for ENCOL and +€1,7billion savings to customers thanks to 10% fuel consumption reduction.
