Summary

Data breaches are rapidly becoming one of the most significant security threats to corporate affluence. More than ever before, companies need to address and prevent any liability or security threat that has paramount consequences, damaging the company\'s reputation and resulting in billions of costs. However, current security testing practices, remain largely inadequate as they are based mainly on snapshots, influenced by the human factor and slow.
Intigriti is a Belgium based startup which targets the global security testing market, while our immediate target market is worth over €200 million. Our platform is a crowd sourced security convergence point where ethical hackers and companies in need of security breach prevention meet. Unlike the current manual ad-hoc testing, our novel approach to security testing is not reactive but proactive. Companies publish the projects to be reviewed for vulnerabilities in the security of the IT infrastructure or applications, while researchers are invited to test and submit reports. We as intigriti are in charge of overseeing the process and validating the reports submitted before we forward them to the companies. Should they prove valid, corporates will reward (bounty) the researcher and pay a bounty fee to us.
The intigriti ethical hackers help European companies stay one step ahead of malicious outsiders by further promoting corporate data safety, while consumers benefit from an advanced shield against compromised data risks. We identify the gap before it becomes a liability.

Work performed

During the six month Phase I project, we worked rigorously in confirming the viability of the technological infrastructure and commercial plan for intigriti while working closely with established partners and stakeholders to test new features and functionalities for the platform. We drafted a concise internationalization strategy plan, including marketing, financial and sales forecasting. We focused on business development communications strategy as well as identifying more sources of financing. To do so we studied the overall market conditions for the European countries in which we already have or plan to expand our business.
After understanding the potential legal or financial risks, we reviewed the available competitive solutions and adjusted our marketing and pricing strategy, to further maximize our efficiency as a company. Finally, we have worked on drafting a complete Phase II work plan which should allow us to further expand our business and exceed state-of-the-art security testing solutions.

Final results

With a clear focus on continuous security testing and a results-focused approach, we leverage state-of-the-art practices while we provide companies with unprecedented access to the field experts. To date, we have secured a strong customer retention rate while we continuously receive very positive feedback from both companies and security testers. Our long-term strategic goal at intigriti is to become THE European bug bounty and security testing marketplace. We envision our success leading to a minimization of security breaches all over Europe and to secure personal data of citizens and companies.
