 Obiettivo del progetto (Objective)

'The here proposed TiAlBLADE reseach project, deals with one of the specific tasks of the SAGE5 demonstrator which is devoted to the development of an innovative low pressure turbine. A part of the low pressure turbine is composed by blades working in harsh environment. For this specific application, TiAl investment casting is presented as the most efficient as it fulfis both technical and economical requirements. The objective of the project will be to study and improve the different stages of manufacturing TiAl parts, with strong emphasis on the oxidation resistance coating of the materials for a use up to 800ºC, keeping in mind the industrial relevance of the proposed concept.'
