Summary

The Well Project leaded by Leunamme Engineering, was approved within the call for SME Instrument H2020, Topic SIE-01-2015-1: Stimulating the innovation potential of SMEs for a low carbon energy system, Call 2015-06-17.
The main objectives of the project were the following:
1. Design of the technological roadmap to extend the system to other turbine models, and to other large wind turbine components
2. Definition of the business plan and of the alliance strategy
3. Development of the commercial and marketing strategy for the project’s internationalisation
4. Definition of the Business Plan

Work performed

The Project has been developed as planned, in terms of deadlines, budgets, actions, and results obtained. The project has enabled, through activity No.1, a better understanding of the market, the design of the technological road map and an estimate to be made regarding an approximate budget, which will be the basis of the Proposal for Phase II. The strategy for the protection of intellectual property, obtaining a new patent, has also been designed. Within Activities No. 2 and 3, the business model has been designed employing the Canvas methodology, the policy of alliances has also been designed, as well as the business and marketing strategies. Activity No. 4 has resulted in a complete Business Plan.
The approval of the Well Project in Phase 1 of the SME Instrument program has been a catalyst for the company in the obtaining of new financing.

Final results

Leunamme has a completed prototype, tested in operational environments, which also is protected by patent worldwide. The use of the Well system will generate significant environmental impacts. The company hopes a significant high level sales due to the technical and economic competitiveness of the system . On the other hand, the company plans to create 11 jobs directly and 40 indirectly.

Emmanuel expects to demonstrate that Leunamme Engineering will soon be an internationally recognized company within the field of technology, innovation and services for O&M in the wind energy sector, and will have generated a significant number of jobs, as well as important economic surpluses.
