CFD modelling of mass transfer during sc-drying process, and concept for drying optimization on the pilot and production scale

Development of a mathematical description of the production of organic microstructured nanohybrid aerogels using tools and techniques of computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The model will then be used to asses process parameters for optimization.

Public report on final conclusions

During the funding period intermediate non-confidential results will be presented at conferences, sciences related events and in scientific journals. At the end, a documentation of final conclusions will be edited.

Report on the possible production processes of organic and hybrid aerogels and comparison with the state of the art

-Requirements and bottlenecks for processes towards mass production
