 Project objective

Today’s architects, engineers & product designers rely on 3D modelling to design, build & fabricate a wide range of complex products—from household appliances to airplanes. 3D digital models are produced with the help of powerful computer-aided design (CAD) & computer-aided engineering (CAE) software. Most existing CAD/CAE software relies on complex mathematical models that have been developed & introduced ~40 years ago. There have been no major improvements since. Building up on 10 man-years of our fundamental mathematical research, we have developed a novel augmented CAD solution Xirus. Xirus simulates real-world physical contact between the product designer & the 3D object during the 3D modelling process. With Xirus the designers reshape the digital 3D models as if they were handling them with their hands instead. Xirus provides a 10X boost in the efficiency of designers by enabling higher precision & speed of modelling of complex surfaces & volumes. Moreover, Xirus overcomes the mathematical limitations of the existing CAD/CAE software & makes possible high-precision 3D models that current CAD/CAE products cannot support. Xirus is a future-proof technology that will allow smooth transition of 3D designers to usage of novel augmented reality/VR devices. The added value of Xirus has been confirmed by 3 major international architecture firms—Herzog & de Meuron, Foster Partners & UNStudio. We have published the trial version of Xirus in Jan 2018 to overwhelming interest from the target market (420 qualified leads in 3 months). Sales will commence in mid 2018. We are aiming at €11m worth of licenses to be sold by 2023 & €32m revenues & 50 FTEs by 2025. In this Phase 1 project we will carry analysis of key verticals & their market potential, impacts of online marketing, commercial potential of product variants & a go-to-market strategy.

Are you the coordinator (or a participant) of this project? Plaese send me more information about the "XIRUS" project.

For instance: the website url (it has not provided by EU-opendata yet), the logo, a more detailed description of the project (in plain text as a rtf file or a word file), some pictures (as picture files, not embedded into any word file), twitter account, linkedin page, etc.

Send me an  email (fabio@fabiodisconzi.com) and I put them in your project's page as son as possible.

Thanks. And then put a link of this page into your project's website.
