In 2014, after over 10 years of research in Augmented Reality, Clemens Kirner and Florian Reiterer founded INS Insider Navigation Systems GmbH in Vienna. Today, INS is formed by an outstanding team of 14 people working on the development of IN-do.
IN-do is our indoor-positioning app that fits each client’s premises, that runs optimally without the need of installing any specific hardware. In 2016 Frost and Sullivan described IN-do as the technology with the highest market opportunity for indoor navigation.
In order to further confirm the feasibility of our project, we have carried out a 4-month long study focusing on 3 main areas. From a technical point of view, we have defined a complete Execution Plan, comprising a Work Plan of 8 Work Packages. We have carried out a Risk Analysis for every technical activity, indicating the mitigation and contingency measures to be prepared to Phase 2. Besides the technological advances, in the commercial field, we have carried out an in-depth analysis of INS Expansion Strategy, in order to take into consideration all commercial risks associated with expansion and elaborate mitigation strategies. We have updated our business model for every target client group, to define a plan to consolidate our commercial and marketing strategy. We have, also, conducted a Freedom-To-Operate analysis and assessed our current and future IPR strategy. Based on market volumes and our current network we have designed an exploitation strategy for the first 5 years post Project.
IN-do will be the first hardware independent navigation system inside buildings on the market. IN-do’s excellence will increase visibility, productivity and profitability of large business areas such as airports, malls, museums and large industrial facilities, boosting their growth by location sharing, asset tracking, emergency management, navigation, and delivering context-aware advertising.
