 Obiettivo del progetto (Objective)

'BRAIN - Brandenburg Research Academy and International Network - is a pilot programme devised by the Brandenburg Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Culture in co-operation with all Brandenburg universities. It will constitute one element of an overarching internationalisation strategy as well as following one of the main political tenets maintained by the Brandenburg government – to promote research and innovation. BRAIN will run for 60 months and will offer 10 incoming fellowships to experienced young researchers of non-German nationality from EU Member States, Associated Countries or Other Third Countries. BRAIN will provide opportunities for international young researchers to further their academic careers by pursuing research projects in their chosen scientific field at a Brandenburg university of their choice. Fellows will be offered a post at their preferred host university, which will provide an inspiring environment and support them in their research project. Fellows may pursue an individual project or join one of the many existing groups of young researchers. The BRAIN Support programme and the BRAIN Coaching programme will offer various types of support and individual and group coaching on soft skills and career development. BRAIN on tour will be a programme of seminars, talks, lectures and other events aiming at maximising the impact of BRAIN fellows’ stay in Brandenburg. The Berlin-Brandenburg region has a leading position in the German and international innovation landsape. The capital region offers young international researchers the highest concentration of universities and research institutions in Germany All Brandenburg and Berlin universities and research institutions co-operate with regional and national enterprises on a bilateral basis and in a number of subject-oriented networks as part of the joint innovation strategy of the states Berlin and Brandenburg. Fellows will be able to profit from this close cooperation.'
