 Project objective

The introduction of multicore processors in 2005 enabled a wide range of computation-intensive real-time applications, in the PC and embedded sector. Especially high-performance embedded systems, as used in today’s automotive technologies (like driver assistance systems), in avionics but also in industrial automation, led to the rapid technological progress in the last 12 years. However, while hardware development is progressing rapidly, software development is facing a major challenge: to make full use of the potential of multi-core processors, the software has to be programmed for parallel computational units and the required effort to do this manually is exponentially increasing with the number of cores available. As a result and in view of the current development to increase the cores available, manual software development for such systems increasingly becomes technically and economically unviable. emmtrix Technologies GmbH has the solution: with the emmtrix Parallel Studio (ePS), software parallelisation can be automated, and the parallelisation effort can be reduced from several months to a few weeks or days. ePS is automatically realising the error-free implementation of parallelisation and rewrites the code. The tool supports the most common programming languages as well as model-based languages, such as those already established in the automotive industry. Both, the automotive industry (e.g. Bosch, Continental, BMW, ETAS) and the aviation industry (e.g. DLR, Airbus, GE Aviation) are already directly involved in the development of ePS via a number of R&D projects. emmtrix plans the market entry with these industries. With market reports projecting for the embedded software market a CAGR of over 7% and a volume of €16.73 billion by 2024, the potential growth for emmtrix is enormous. With the help of a grant from the SME instrument, emmtrix expects an accelerated market entry and, mainly through license sales, a potential turnover of €8.82 million by 2024.

Are you the coordinator (or a participant) of this project? Plaese send me more information about the "EMMTRIX" project.

For instance: the website url (it has not provided by EU-opendata yet), the logo, a more detailed description of the project (in plain text as a rtf file or a word file), some pictures (as picture files, not embedded into any word file), twitter account, linkedin page, etc.

Send me an  email (fabio@fabiodisconzi.com) and I put them in your project's page as son as possible.

Thanks. And then put a link of this page into your project's website.
