 Project objective

Pangea is a company whose purpose is to design, build and operate a new category of Rockets to provide affordable access to space tailored to mcro/nano satellite companies -Payload<150kg- at LEO (Low Earth Orbit). Aims to design a Greener and cost affordable launch system. Its product development strategy is based on two key elements: i.-REUSABILITY, we will use existing and proven technologies in others industries that we transfer to aerospace sector, ii.-COST EFFICIENCY, for it will use Aerospike Engine –that’s feasible thanks to metal 3D print technology- return to base capabilities and reusable methane and liquid oxygen propellants, which are 5-10% more efficient and may be the standard of the market in 20 years. The value proposal of Pangea is to have the lower price per kilogram in the micro launcher industry by coupling a more efficient main engine (aerospike engine) together with reusability, allowed by our RRTB system, and a system solution of electric pumps, liquid oxygen and methane propellants etc. to simplify refurbishment. Furthermore, we offer an end-to-end service to small-satellite manufacturers, from integration to deorbiting of their satellites. Pangea’s price per launch is between 3-3,6M € with a payload to orbit of 150 kg. This equates to a price of 20K-24K € per kilogram launched for interested parties. This amount represents a drastic cost reduction compared to existing dedicated launch services. Our product is tailored around the most advanced manufacturing techniques and takes advantage of mature technologies from other fields of application. We have been rethinking the traditional rocket design procedure from scratch to include reusability from the very start which allows us to create a system that puts less wear on the critical components of the rocket. The team is a young multinational team with a broad knowledge base within all fields of aerospace engineering. Together they strive to create the best launching service for small sats.
