 Obiettivo del progetto (Objective)

'This project is centered on several technological developments around the intermolecular Pauson-Khand reaction, a cobalt catalyzed multicomponent cycloaddition with an unexploited potential to streamline the synthesis of complex organic molecules. The first aim is to find new ligands for the cobalt catalyzed intermolecular Pauson-Khand reaction. A ligand accelerated version of this transformation has been so far elusive and might potentially lead to cheap and efficient ways for the construction of elaborated cyclopentanic compounds from readily available and structurally diverse starting materials. A second aspect of the project deals with the development of stereoselective versions to access chiral cyclopentanic building blocks of high added value in a straightforward manner.'
