 Project objective

'The Oil Catchpot System (OilCS) – an innovative mobile solution for Thermally Expended Graphite based on nanosorbents production directly on or near the site of oil spills. It provides: Quick localization of oil spot, Quick binding of oil products, Convenient collection of bound oil products, Return of oil products, Absence of wastes, Universal application, Environmentally friendliness of exploitation, Efficiency of application – volumes of sorbent during its storage and transportation are reduced in 80 times. It is characterized by the very long-term storage of raw materials, circular use of resources (recovery of spilled oil up to 90%, use of spent sorbent as secondary raw materials), reduction to '0' financial costs associated with the payment of compensation for caused damage and restoration of contaminated areas. This solution brings to the oil spill management market new, innovative, environmentally safe and cost-effective integrated system for the on-the-spot collection of oil spill generated by different anthropogenic accidents. As a result of bringing the technology to the market, end users will get: - an actual cost-effective solution for the liquidation of oil spills; - prevention of environmental pollution; - this system does not require drastic changes in oil spill management, as it easily complements existing technologies and is easy to operate. Given equipment use doesn’t change processes of spills management, but it completes and improves it. INECO`s further intentions are: to proceed with OILCS as a mobile clean up unit for soils (coastal and seashore lines) remediation, and to clean oil settling from the water bodies bottom, to develop for potentially dangerous objects of infrastructures Contrameasure Plans based on the use of OILCS. Using OILCS companies will not depend on natural, climatic, engineering conditions and long distance of site from the coastal supply bases. It will allow them to reduce delivery time of means&mechanisms for spills.'

Are you the coordinator (or a participant) of this project? Plaese send me more information about the "OILCS" project.

For instance: the website url (it has not provided by EU-opendata yet), the logo, a more detailed description of the project (in plain text as a rtf file or a word file), some pictures (as picture files, not embedded into any word file), twitter account, linkedin page, etc.

Send me an  email (fabio@fabiodisconzi.com) and I put them in your project's page as son as possible.

Thanks. And then put a link of this page into your project's website.
