 Project objective

Most industrial production processes require cooling to ensure appropriate temperature for effective operations. Data centers, manufacturing facilities, petrochemical plants, etc. all depend on the degree to which cooling systems provide optimal operating temperatures to tools, workpieces and machinery. These refrigerants often contain fluorinated gases (which pose a threat to the environment), while most natural refrigerants result in usage constraints (compliance with dangerous substances and explosive atmospheres regulations; flammable properties, very high-pressure conditions). Leviathan Dynamics is an innovative startup founded in 2016. LD aims at developing a Water-based industrial chiller cooled by ambient air offering various advantages: abundant and inexpensive base material, no operational risks and 30% higher energy efficiency when compared to current solutions. We have already developed a relevant prototype which has been tested in our laboratory, allowing us to reach TRL 6. Our technology aims at developing vapor-compression mechanical refrigeration systems (chillers) involving closed recirculating systems using a single fluid to produce cold and to transfer cold to the process. We are currently developing the four components of our chillers: heat exchanger blending the circulating loop and the refrigeration loop, high speed compressors, multi-channels condensers and adjustable expansion valves. Starting with two market segments (Laser machine cooling and Electrical cabinets cooling), our ambition is to remove fluorinated gases from the cooling industry. We have already validated our supply chain and we have negotiated distribution agreements (sales under white label, tied sales) with value added resellers.

We are applying SME Phase 1 to validate the technical (thermodynamic modelling, aerodynamic optimization, corrosion-resistant materials), business (market study, economic feasibility) and legal (patent applications) feasibility.

Are you the coordinator (or a participant) of this project? Plaese send me more information about the "ONDINE" project.

For instance: the website url (it has not provided by EU-opendata yet), the logo, a more detailed description of the project (in plain text as a rtf file or a word file), some pictures (as picture files, not embedded into any word file), twitter account, linkedin page, etc.

Send me an  email (fabio@fabiodisconzi.com) and I put them in your project's page as son as possible.

Thanks. And then put a link of this page into your project's website.
