VLATACOM is a Serbian company which has been designing, producing, and implementing security systems since 1997. B-Lock is the first high-security (with uncopiable key based on butterfly scales) integral (hardware -lock, key, reader- and software –logging & tracking-) and adaptable (able to satisfy geographical and technological different levels of security) Physical Access Control System at a competitive cost. B-Lock overcomes the main technical challenges of existing PACS in the market: 1) uncopiable key to increase security and 2) adaptable system to different levels of security. The core innovation of B-Lock technology is the uniqueness of its uncopiable keys which contain butterfly scales (1 butterfly is sufficient to obtain 200,000 different keys) and this propagates through all the elements and advantages of our system. B-Lock is based on patented inventions by the Institute of Physics, (PCT/EP2015/081407; PCT/EP2015/081400; PCT/EP2015/081398). As per the MoU signed by and between VLATACOM and Institute of Physics, Belgrade (IPB), IPB supports VLATACOM’s submissions to EU's Horizon 2020 and other Programs. The institute of Physics, Belgrade is willing to grant free of charge right of use of its intellectual property in B-lock, and collaborate in commercialization. VLATACOM target is to disrupt in the high security Physical Access Control System market for private and public premises which is estimated to reach €9.85 billion globally by 2023. At VLATACOM we already count with great expertise, contacts and client portfolio in this segment which will be reached by direct sales (B2B and B2C) and licensing (B2B). We have estimated a cumulative profit of €48.19 million during the first five years of commercialisation, a Return of Investment (ROI) of 11.5 by 2025 and the generation of 45 new direct jobs.
