Cardiovascular diseases are the main cause of death - only in Europe they account for over 35% of all deaths. Minimal invasive surgery is the most important available treatment technique because it limits interference in the patient's body and significantly shortens recovery time compared to standard invasive procedures. Although professionals are trained in this technique, learning to operate the probe is very difficult and troublesome for both the doctor and patient.

In response to the market demand, MST has developed a device, simulator for interventional echocardiography, specializing in the field of minimally invasive medical therapies. The solution is a comprehensive simulation system consisting of software and hardware. The simulation platform based on a heart model from CT scans of real patients. This allows the user to practice on the most realistic heart models with numerous individual anatomies and pathologies and have the feeling of real examination or interventional TEE-guided procedure. The new device will be easy to use, and portable enough to compete with by its mobility. Lower costs of manufacturing and exploitation provides an opportunity to supply market demand to a greater extent than competition currently does. Professional unique solution based on real patient’s heart models with 3D visualization provides higher quality than any device currently available. Incorporated fluoro- and TEE guided puncture simulators build usability.

The initial target market concentrate around the USA and Europe – Germany, France, Austria, Italy and Poland. The company is already present in these markets, therefore they are accessible to the new product. MST has developed partnerships with disturbing companies for global presence. ProfiMedical (www.profimedical.pl) is a distributing partner of MST. It specializes in medical equipment sales in Central and Eastern Europe.
